This collaboration with the French deco house
Casamance started of as a search for a circular geometric design and ended up in a complete collection called
Louxor.

Design Palmyre from the Louxor collection |
This Casamance collection
Louxor combines several designs each with it's own signature.
Assuan was the initial pattern. Starting from a sketch the design needed to be completely redrawn and but into balance.

The endresult is hard to capture in a photo. It's this metallic wall with a rounded texture and metallic satin shimmer allover that moves with you as you pass the wall. I think of it as a luxurious variation on a stucca wall.

In the same raised effect technique but on a different ground material we printed the designs
Kheops and
Palmyre. The ground here has a textured print and a delicate metallic shine.
Kheops is a small geometric that can be implemented in many ways. It is both classical, retro and contemporary at the same time. Combine it with art deco furniture, it will transport you immediately to the 'Great Gatsby' era.

Palmyra is a stylised papyrus leaf set in layers giving this design a real depth. It's like you are looking trough a field of papyrus plants. Again, on a textured ground and finished with a metallic raised effect.

What makes this collection so interesting is the combination between digital and traditional printing. A fabric like base material with a little gold or silver sparkle increases the value of the range. These products reflect richness, luxury and craft.
So the textured base material was added to the collection as a separate product in a extensive color range and given the name
Isis.
