When you think you know it and then it takes you by surprise... This product I made for the new label Boutique by Flocart Wallcoverings is such a product.
I absolutely love to be inspired by natures drawings, like this onyx stone texture. It is a familiar design, something we like to look at. That's a good start for a commercial product. What else is there? It's a wide width wall covering (130cm) because I transformed the photo into a large scale repeat, with enough winding and sloping parts to keep it interesting all over the wall.
Nice, but that is not where the surprise is.
Touch it! It's soft and warm and it even influences your acoustics for better because it is a VELVET!
Honestly, this was so much fun watching peoples reactions during the fairs! When they 'accidentally' touched the wall, they all started cuddling it ...
Soft Touch Onyx comes in 2 color ways, Natural Sepia and Cameo Rose, seen on the picture above. Pose it as a matching repeat, so no drops are visible. Or hang it random, than it looks like stone paneling on the wall.
