Innovations wanted to do someting with their contemporary geometric design we refered to as 'diagonal lines'. Large scale, that's for sure, but what else could we do to give it a twist? Did some research in the studio to see if I could come up with some new printing effects. The idea was to have a handcrafted look with a ultra modern design.
For the design I wanted to use a raised effect to create depth and dimension. Our in house made, flexibel foaming ink could do the job. This ingredient, in combination with some production tricks, let's call them the seasoning of the dish, sign for a original handcrafted print effect, diversing in look troughout the complete batch of each Forma color.

A fibrous base material was the start of this new development. By combining several ink types and playing with absorbtion and repulsion I discovered a great ground texture. It is a slow process with several layers and in the end a random textured effect.

Innovations Design Department came up with a surprising and daring color scheme (how I love working with them!) ! So in terms of interior decoration, this product fits all spaces in the home and is even suitable for offices or hotel lobbies.
In practical terms the several layers we need to compile the product, combined with the divers ink types, resulted in a huge number of color formulas to search for. It took us over a month and a half to get there. But in the end, the result is more than worth the effort!
