Coming from a background as textile designer, it is very important to me that our wallcovering products have a nice 'feel' about them. That it is tactile, and thus surprises the possible customer when their fingers slide over the product.
For the MOOOI collection
Menagerie of Extinct Animals, launched with
Arte, I tried to implement these features as much as possible.
When I saw the design and scale of the pattern, I knew 'just a print' wouldn't do! So my search began for a material that would lift up this pattern to a new level. Our soft touch printed fabric was an immediate hit. Not only does it take on colors so well, it is giving the pattern extra depth.

Another technique we developed was used for the
Umbrella Squid. Again a product with an extra feel about it, using our typical 3D print effect.

We finished of with a high quality, rather extravagant metallized foil for extra visual dimension and luxurious appearance. Once on the wall, it looks incredibly organic, with an almost natural shine. Go on, touch it, you will be surprised, I promise!
